KS1 www.bbc.co.uk/starship/english  choose ‘story plant’, make a story
using lots of different characters, places etc. You can read the finished
story and print it out.

On the above website if you choose; ‘word jumbler’, you get three
options;

  1. ‘Sounds the same’, a game where you get a sentence with a word missing, you have to choose the correct word. E.g. saw/sore
  2. ‘What's the pattern?' a game with sentences and letter missing, you have to choose the correct spelling. E.g. g--d = 'u' or ‘oo’.
  3. 'Count the syllables'; and that is what you have to do! From 1-4 syllables. E.g. of words used; helicopter, grass. When you get the correct
    answer, it breaks the word down for you.
